UHC Sunday School
Our Sunday school is a launchpad for the Jewish youth of our community to live Jewish lives, and develop a sense of pride and confidence in their Jewish identities. Our teachers, parent volunteers, madrichim (teen aides), and rabbis collaborate to make the Sunday school a cornerstone of our UHC community; a home for families from all over the world from all different backgrounds.
We aim to:
Celebrate Jewish life, rituals, and holidays
Develop and deepen Jewish identity (Jewish history, Torah, Israel)
Foster Jewish friendships and sense of community
Prepare students for their bar or bat mitzvah
Learn to decode Hebrew (Reading, writing, and speaking)
