Welcome to the UHC (Singapore) website. The United Hebrew Congregation (Singapore) aims to provide Jews from a Progressive (Reform/Liberal/Conservative/Reconstructionist) background with the opportunity to be religiously and culturally involved with similar individuals and families in Singapore. The UHC is organised and run by volunteers from within the community.

We know that at times contacting or joining a new community can be a little daunting. The members of the UHC Steering Committee and individual members of the community would be delighted to assist you and to extend the community's hospitality to you. So whether you are a visitor passing through, newly residing in Singapore, or already well established in the country, please do not hesitate to get in touch, as you can be assured of a warm welcome.

We extend a special welcome to travelers and those serving in their nation's armed forces.  If you will be in Singapore during one of our events, please send us an e-mail if you would like to join us.

Looking Ahead to High Holy Days 2010

We look forward to welcoming Rabbi Lennard Thal and cantor Caro in September to join us once again for a few weeks.  Our community events are scheduled for September High Holy days and details will be announced closer to the time.  See 'Upcoming Events' for up-to-date information.

Members are requested to send in their registration information and payment before the deadliine.  We keep a few seats available for travelers to Singapore.
