UHC Judaic Studies School is open for children from 3 to 13 years old. Our Rabbi leads the Bar/Bat Mitzvah group. To register, please submit the registration form above.


We strive to deliver an inspiring Jewish education to ensure a vibrant Jewish future through the growth of confident and knowledgeable youngsters who engage the world through Jewish acts and values. We aim:

  • to bring Torah into our lives through the study of its language, ideals and concepts
  • to foster prayer and spiritual growth as individuals and as a liberal Jewish community
  • to teach and practice acts of loving kindness in private and in public

UHC School's Jewish Studies curriculum is based on the URJ Chai Curriculum.  The topics are grouped into three areas:  Torah, Avodah (prayer) and G'milut Chasadim (acts of loving kindness).  More information can be found at We will be incorporating both the core curriculum and the Israel curriculum.  The School's Hebrew language curriculum is based on Mitkadem, which teaches Hebrew in the context of the prayers normally said in the service.  More information can be found at
