Dear UHC Singapore family,
Welcome back to another season at the UHC Singapore!
I am very pleased to inform you that Rabbi Miriam and Rabbi Beni have been working with the Gabbai Committee to bring you a complete High Holiday program. Additionally, we are very happy to welcome Vered Harel, Cantor Martin Steinhouse and Cantor Deborah Jacobson back to help enhance and add solemnity to our services.
In keeping with COVID-19 regulatory requirements, we will be delivering all services and additional programming to you digitally and, much like our regular Shabbat services, we will be asking the congregation to participate.
Please be reminded that High Holiday services attendance is considered a privilege of paid-up membership. While paid-up members are welcome to invite visiting or remote family members or guests to attend services, there are some guest exclusions. Ex-UHC members still residing in Singapore, that have chosen not to renew their UHC membership for the 2020/21 season as well as prospective members that have chosen to not yet join the UHC, will not be eligible to attend High Holiday Services, even as guests of existing paid-up UHC members.
If you were a member of UHC Singapore during the 2019/2020 season, your membership has automatically been renewed. Please review your account on ShulCloud by clicking on this link to make payment and complete the process.
Please find below the complete High Holiday programming schedule. Please ensure that you register for all services and programming that you wish to attend as registration is required to receive the Zoom links.
Please note that Zoom links will not be posted on ShulCloud or Facebook and will not be shared via WhatsApp. Those that have registered will receive Zoom links by email. Additionally, for security, please make every effort to log in to the Zoom services or programming with the same name as is on your registration, as admittance will be based on a registration list.
Thank you so much for your continued support of the UHC Singapore. We know that a digital High Holiday is not ideal but we are working hard to ensure that, like our Shabbat services, High Holidays will be spiritual, meaningful and as fulfilling as possible.
I also want to personally thank you for your timely payment of membership fees. These fees are the lifeblood of our community and enable us to employ our Rabbis, Alice and to keep our office and administration running. Additionally, any fees associated with services or programming are set on a cost recovery basis. In order to deliver the highest quality possible digital services, there are costs but we have endeavored to keep these to a minimum.
On behalf of the UHC Singapore Management Committee, I wish you and your family Shanah Tovah and I look forward to seeing you (digitally) this High Holiday season!
